AMD RX 6900 XT, RX 6800 XT, and RX 6800 graphics cards. Specifications. Cost and purchase in the USA
AMD unveiled three new graphics cards: RX 6800 XT, RX 6900 XT, and RX 6800. They are practically not inferior in performance to Nvidia's top models, the new RTX 30 series.
AMD's main trump card is the ultra-powerful new Radeon RX 6900 XT, the best in the entire Big Navi family of graphics processors. The price of the graphics card in the USA is $999 (approximately 105 000 rubles), it is 1.5 times cheaper than the Nvidia RTX 3090, while offering better performance.

Specifications and features of the new AMD lineup
- The Radeon RX 6900 XT got 80 compute units, while the Radeon RX 6800 XT got 72. Both graphics cards boost up to 2250 MHz in turbo mode. The lower-end model (6800, without XT) consumes much less power, and runs on only 60 compute units, with a frequency of up to 2105 MHz. All three RX series models have 16 GB of GDDR6, which falls between the GeForce RTX 3080 (10 GB) and GeForce RTX 3090 (24 GB).
- The 6900 XT has 128 MB of Infinity Cache. AMD explains this by saying that they took everything developed by the Zen and EPYC teams and built it into the RDNA 2 architecture in the form of Infinity Cache. This means that AMD can use a smaller 256-bit memory bus, and with Infinity Cache it delivers higher performance than if the RX 6900 XT were on a wider 384-bit memory bus, while consuming less power.
- Thanks to Infinity Cache, AMD graphics cards even with GDDR6 have effectively the same video memory bandwidth and 4K performance as Nvidia's new flagship models. While Nvidia needs higher-end GDDR6X memory for the RTX 3000 series.
AMD is really gaining momentum with the Radeon RX 6900 XT, competing with and even outperforming Nvidia's very best card (priced at $1499), the GeForce RTX 3090.
